Sermon Title: POWER DELAYED IS NOT POWER DENIED

Sermon Text: LUKE 8:43 - And a woman having an issue of blood 12 years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any.

POINT 1

A CONNECTION WITH THE POWER OF JESUS WILL ALWAYS BRING DELIVERANCE.

LUKE 8:44 - Came behind Him, and touched the border of His garment: and immediately the issue of blood stopped….

POINT 2

When you are DETERMINED to connect with Jesus….he gives us the POWER to be DELIVERED.

LUKE 8:45-46 - ⁴⁵ And Jesus said WHO TOUCHED ME?...When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee and sayest thou WHO TOUCHED ME ? ⁴⁶ And Jesus said somebody touched me for I perceive that VIRTUE is gone out of me.

POINT 3

PEACE AND COMFORT IS CONNECTED TO THE POWER OF JESUS.

LUKE 8:48 - And he said unto he, Daughter be of good comfort: thy faith has made thee whole; go in peace.

LIFE APPLICATION

1.     DELIVERANCE COMES WHEN YOUR NEED IS IN LINE WITH YOUR EXECTATION.

2.     DON’T LET YOUR ISSUE STOP YOU FROM CONNECTING WITH JESUS.

3.     URGENT EXPECTATION WILL ALWAYS GET JESUS’ ATTENTION.

POINT 1

THE POWER OF GOD IS YOKE BREAKING

ISAIAH 10:27

AND IT SHALL COME TO PASS in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.

POINT 2

THE POWER OF GOD IS YOUR DEFENSE

ISAIAH 59:19 (KJV)

…When the enemy comes in like a flood the spirit of the lord will lift up a standard against him…

POINT 3

THE POWER OF GOD DRIVES YOU TO CONFESSION

PSALM 32:3-5 (NIV)

3 When I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long.

4 For day and night your hand was heavy on me; my strength was sapped as in the heat of summer.

5 Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity.  I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.” And you forgave the guilt of my sin

THE POWER OF GOD GIVES US A BREAKTHROUGH WHEN WE ARE WEAK

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities….

SERMON TITLE - EXPECTATION IN GOD SHALL PRODUCE POWER IN ME

Luke 24:49 - And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

POINT 1

THE PRICE YOU PAY FOR THE POWER OF GOD IS WORTH IT

That I may know HIM, and the power of HIS resurrection and the fellowship of HIS sufferings, being conformed to HIS death. - Philippians 3:10 KJV

POINT 2

YOU MUST BE IN POSITION TO RECEIVE GODS POWER…..

…but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. - Luke 24:49

POINT 3

YOU CAN EXPECT WHAT GOD SAYS…

For the kingdom of GOD is not a matter of talk but of power… 

- 1 Corinthians 4: 20

My GOD is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the power that worketh in us.
