Sermon Title: There’s Going To Be GLORY On The Other Side Of This!

Sermon Text: Haggai 2:3-10

3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

4 Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong, O Joshua, son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all ye people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts:

5 According to the word that I covenanted with you when ye came out of Egypt, so my spirit remaineth among you: fear ye not.

6 For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

7 And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts.

8 The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the Lord of hosts.

9 The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts.

10 In the four and twentieth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, came the word of the Lord by Haggai the prophet, saying,

IF YOU ARE AND WOULD BE ANOINTED YOU OUGHT TO EXPECT SOME TROUBLE….

OPPOSITION TARGETS EVERYTHING THAT’S IN DIRECT CONTRAST WITH YOU REACHING YOUR PURPOSE…..

NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR FEAR, BUT TIME FOR FAITH AND COURAGE.

Ø GOD will always take care of you in the wilderness

Sermon Text: Mark 4:35-41

Point # 1: Going to the other side a Command that requires action (vs. 35)

Action to the command (James 1:22)

• Obedience
• Physically set sail

Point #2: Leave the crowd and take Jesus (vs. 36)

(Gen. 12:1)

Point #3: Storms will arise going to the other side (vs.37)

• Storms are inevitable (John 16:33)
• Every storm reveals who we are and where we are (vs. 40)
• Storms reveal who He is and what He is not (vs. 41)

Point #4: He’s always in Control (vs. 38-41)

• He sits at the stern of your life, your purpose, your destiny (Jer. 29:11)
• One word from the Master can calm any and every storm (vs. 39, 41b)
